A cozy apartment of a young woman is located in a renovated guest house in the historical center of Moscow, in a quiet alley, not far from the stormy life of Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and Patriarchal Ponds.

We wanted to emphasize the architectural features of the space, and add modern details that would emphasize them. Rooms with a clear rhythm of large windows and high ceilings create a classic basis for an interior that combines vintage and modern furniture. This is a favorite technique of famous French designers when creating interiors.

Above the modern fireplace framed by smooth lines of the ribbed panels are large panels decorated with panels of natural pearl, behind them we hide TV and all necessary appliances. The unusual finish gives depth and grandeur to the space. Fancy patterns shimmer in the sunlight passing through the tall trees in the courtyard of the house and with bright interior light in the evening.

The composition of three chandeliers of the English brand Porta Romana with decorative elements of patinated brass that frame the plafonds of white wild silk became the focal center of the space.

Large number of white shades create the sense of light and air – walls, plaster cornices, light parquet and a large curved sofa in a boucled finish make the space solemn.

To create the furniture composition for the main space, we used an unusual-shaped carpet from the French design duo Bismut&Bismut made of textured silk with spots of different sizes and heights that form an interesting spot of the sofa group in the soft pastel colors.

Gray-blue cotton velvet from Dedar in the sofa upholstery from Philipp Hurel echoes the volumetric glass on the coffee table tops from Bruno Moinard.

The kitchen area is separated from the main living room space by a block of high cabinets with appliances. Chocolate walnut panels contrast with other finishes in the room.

The working surface is located between two wooden panels rounded at the ends. The countertop and the entire surface behind the upper cabinets are made of natural Taj Mahal quartzite mined in Brazil. Crystals and lines in its structure shimmer in sunlight and give a unique sense of depth. Translucent natural stones resemble semi-precious ones, they fascinate and attract the eye.

Beautiful glass handles in the form of drops with air bubbles inside complement the ornate veneer covered the facades. Thoughtful things and decorative details give this area a special charm. In such a kitchen, you would want to spend much time cooking your favorite meals and creating new culinary masterpieces.

The smooth lines of the headboard combine the composition of bedside tables and table lamps with a base of thick glass of rich herbal color

The Brick Screen decorative screen by the classic design of Eileen Gray is not just a folding divider of a room, it is an object with sober elegance that became a sculptural element, a work of modern art. The original is included in the permanent design collection of the MoMA Museum in New York.

A small exquisite wooden table from Christian Liaigre is both a boudoir area and a working area for the owner of the room. Rounded lines and specific supports refer to the traditional furniture of the ancient East. The items of this iconic designer are distinguished by the deepest elegance, nobility and refined luxury.

For the master bathroom, we chose Italian Verde Antigua marble of delicate green color. An unusual mint shade contrasts with the wooden trim of the doors and the base of the sink. A decorative portal painted with metallized brass paint frames a large oval mirror and became the center of the space composition.

The master bedroom is built on subtle differences in shades of white and a combination of different textures. This neutral color is reflected differently on different surfaces and fabrics – silk bed upholstery, coarse weave of linen curtains, boucled pillows, strict glossy lacquer bedside tables.

The smooth lines of the headboard combine the composition of bedside tables and table lamps with a base of thick glass of rich herbal color. They echo with a silk carpet that unites the space with a large geometric spot. The broken facade of the building in the interior of this room was leveled by an emphasis on the correct compositional forms of the furniture and decorated with light textiles.
